Gareth, one of our Company Directors, started in corporate estate agency over 18 years ago and is a member of both the National Association of Estate Agents (NAEA) and the Association of Residential Lettings Agents (ARLA). He loves the huge variety of homes in Burnley and the different challenges every one of them poses for him and the team. Out of the office, he’s a keen golfer and enjoys spending time with his Dad out on the courses as well as walking his dog, Ollie.

Laura, our Lettings Manager started her career in nearby Padiham over 8 years ago and joined JonSimon in 2017 to take on a more senior role and help mould the lettings arm of the business into something she is now extremely proud of.   She loves working in the property industry and completed her ARLA accreditation in 2019 and now plans to tackle her NAEA qualification!  Away from the office she is a gin enthusiast and loves taking her dog Bear on long walks around the countryside.

Aaron, the newest member of the team having joined in January 2022 tackles all tenant maintenance concerns, and property inspections and has recently taken on the responsibility of referencing.  His near-term goal is to achieve ARLA status and continue his ever-increasing role in the office.  Away from work, he’s a keen Blackburn supporter and hopes the Burnley community won’t hold it against him!

Kath has been an estate agent for over 30 years and initially joined the business along with John W Dinsdale in 2017.  Sadly John passed away in 2021, but Kath remains ever-present on Thursday and Friday (and the odd Saturday!) doing viewings and assisting sellers with all they need.

About Burnley

One of Burnley’s stand-out features is the surrounding countryside. The Pennines are right on your doorstep, and the majestic hills can be seen from almost everywhere in town. There is an abundance of green spaces in Burnley, perfect for families, couples and individuals alike, with several parks in the area, including Towneley Park, Thompson Park, Rowley Lake and the surrounding woodlands, Healy Heights and Grove Lane Wood in nearby Padiham.

The picturesque Weavers’ Triangle and the recently renovated Saw Mill Café situated in Burnley town centre frames the Leeds and Liverpool Canal, which runs through the town. Showing off the cultural heritage of the area, the cotton mills and surrounding buildings have also been a significant area of development in recent years – a great place to learn about the history of Burnley.

Other engaging activities include the historic visitor centre in the Weavers’ Triangle; Towneley Hall, which also has an art gallery and exhibitions about the local area; as well as the historic Gawthorpe Hall, a National Trust property based in the heart of the beautiful Stubbins Estate, which spans 436 acres, including over a small portion of Holcombe Moor.

You can also see the Singing Ringing Tree on Crown Point in the hills above Burnley. Designed by Tonkin Liu and the winner of a National Award for Architectural Excellence by the Royal Institute of British Architects (RIBA), the unique metal sculpture is shaped like a tree, and is made of steel pipes which produce a low-pitched singing sound as the wind passes through it. From Crown Point, you can see the whole town of Burnley as well as panoramas of the local area, overlooking the majestic forests and hills.
